Such is the case for the Quinta de Cabriz Dao Red, a former Wine Spectator Top 100 and a back-to-back Wine Enthusiast Best Buy. Explore outside the norm with a traditional blend of 40% Alfrocheiro, 40% Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and 20% Touriga Nacional that has classic Dao silkiness. Produced by Global Wines, this is the home to another Wine Buyer favorite Casa de Santar. It's a straightforward red to be sure, but the Cabriz vineyards with their granite soils and temperate climate allow for full flavors with lower alcohol percentages and a crazy long finish.
