When Kory Koehler acquired this beautiful 100 acre estate in the Santa Ynez Valley over twenty-five years ago, all of her grapes were being sold to local wineries. She soon recognized that the best wines in the valley were being produced with Koehler vineyard, so Kory quickly made the decision to launch her own winery and tasting room. Set amidst the canyons of the Santa Ynez Valley, Koehler's own-rooted vines are some of the oldest in the region, averaging over 50 years, with a focus on Rhone and Bordeaux-style wines. An overlooked gem, the 2018 Vintage Estate Syrah is amazing for the price, with The Wine Enthusiast rating the previous four vintages 90+ points at the release price of $35 a bottle.
