The top rated 2019 red wine in The Wine Advocate, the Vina Zorzal Cuatro del Cuatro is simply outstanding for the price! 100% Graciano sourced from a single vineyard in Spain's Navarra DO, the Cuatro del Cuatro comes from an organically farmed site on the famed stony terroir of Corella. The oak is neutral (500L French) which allows the fruit and tannins to really shine. Somewhat Bordeaux like with lots of black currant and cherry fruit intermixed with notions of forest, underbrush and barrique. An incredible value for under $20, this is one of our favorite wines of the year!
"Full of personality and with a nose that combines herbal freshness and note of wild berries and flowers. This has a lighter color and a lighter body than the majority of Graciano; they say it's the strain they have. But the wine has very good depth and complexity.
